The Forum is a large market-rate Continuing Care Retirement Community of nearly 500 units located on 55 landscaped acres in the picturesque foothills of Cupertino, California. HKIT designed the original campus in 1989 and has consistently been involved in assisting with repositioning and improvements as needs arise. HKIT’s Interior Design team has recently updated the more traditional interiors spaces. Use of transitional furniture with colorful, patterned, and contemporary fabrics modernizes the look and feel. Multi-functional rooms were laid out with furniture for a variety of conversation groupings. Seating in corridors and hallways allows seniors a comfortable and inviting place to pause. HKIT’s continuing relationship with the Forum allows the buildings to evolve and modernize over time while staying true to the original design.
