Piedmont High School Alan Harvey Theater
Piedmont, CA
Enhancing performance through state-of-the art design and technology
Replacing its 40 year-old predecessor, the 20,926 square-foot Alan Harvey Theater anchors the northeast corner of the Piedmont campus. Equipped with stage rigging, an orchestra shell, and acoustic panels, the theater can accommodate 486, including 28 orchestra seats. The stage features a sprung floor to support up to 257 performers, while a state-of-the-art control booth provides exceptional audio-visual and lighting experiences tailored to each performance. The building also houses a conference room, department office, pre-performance green room, and a versatile 1,600 square-foot drama classroom with blackout capabilities.

The theater’s design complements the historic nature of the campus and creates a welcoming entrance to the school along Magnolia Avenue.
