Recruitment fraud from groups or individuals pretending to be HKIT Architects or claiming to represent HKIT Architects may be sent in a variety of formats, including email, text, social media, and letters.
Fraudsters may contact individuals offering employment with HKIT Architects. These communications often look legitimate and may include details of an offer of employment, such as job description, salary, and benefits. They may request payment or personal information from prospective employees for fraudulent purposes. You may be referred to an organization that requests fees for processing documents, background checks, or other employment-related services. In some cases, you may be told you will be reimbursed for all the costs.
Please be vigilant to fraudulent activity if you receive a communication or email regarding potential employment or an invitation to submit applications to a public email address such as Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail, or supposedly from HKIT Architects. All emails originating from HKIT Architects will end in @hkit.com.
Please do not send money or share any personal information to anyone suggesting they can provide employment with HKIT Architects. Our staff will never ask an applicant for financial or personal sensitive information. If you have applied for a position through a legitimate channel, we will have the information needed.
If you are unsure a communication you have received is genuine, please review the guidance below:
- We never make job offers without performing a formal interview process.
- Prospective employees are always invited to an interview with HKIT Architects personnel before any offer of employment is made. The interview location is always provided to candidates by phone or email from a verifiable HKIT Architects email account.
- Do not send money. No money transfers or payments of any kind will ever be requested by HKIT Architects or any third-party recruiter retained by HKIT Architects as part of the recruitment process for immigration documents, insurance, or any other purpose.
- HKIT Architects website pages always include http://www.hkit.com. Any other format is not genuine.
- Verify the email address. HKIT Architects emails always end in “@hkit.com”. Any email styled with the HKIT Architects logo but using a different email format is not genuine. HKIT Architects will never request a prospective applicant to email information to an email address not ending in “@hkit.com”; regardless of the origin of the email, you should always question the authenticity of any unsolicited emails seeking money or personal information, irrespective of the email address.
Should you believe you have received a communication you suspect is fraudulent and claiming to originate from HKIT Architects, please forward it to: cybersecurity@hkit.com. HKIT Architects will strive to investigate the situation and take corrective action.
