River Delta Unified School District Facilities Master Plan

The River Delta Unified School District (RDUSD) is part of a diverse agriculture-centric community spanning three counties. In November 2020, the District passed two bond measures and, in the summer of 2021, began the community engagement, master planning, and implementation planning process for seven school campuses. Recognizing the District’s emphasis on an inclusive engagement process, our team facilitated 14 community meetings, conducting two at each school.

Presentations were prepared that outlined the bond measures, District goals, and a framework for providing feedback, which were displayed simultaneously in English and Spanish on dual projection screens since many community members were primarily Spanish speakers. An HKIT Designer who is fluent in Spanish, helped facilitate the engagement process with the Spanish-speaking community members.
