The St. Anthony Foundation (SAF) and Mercy Housing California jointly developed this 10-story building, including the rebuilt St. Anthony’s dining room, new social work center, a free clothing program, and 90 units of affordable housing on the upper floors. SAF, a non-profit that has supported the local homeless and underserved community for 70 years and provided over 40 million meals through its food program, had outgrown the capacities of its aging existing facilities and needed larger up-to-date spaces for its programs. This new facility meets the challenges of the 21st century and the increasing need for St. Anthony’s services to the local underserved community.
Location: San Francisco, CA
Total Gross Building Area: 110,500 sf
