In 2010, voters passed the Measure J Bond in order to renovate/replace school facilities over the next three years. The District was faced with the challenge of implementing a program that would quickly and efficiently deliver quality and aesthetically pleasing spaces that fit the program needs. HKIT co-developed the project with Project Frog, a leader in component buildings. Together, we developed plans for new classroom buildings, library buildings and Exploratorium/ lab classrooms at four different sites. At El Camino High School, due to site topography and set-back constraints, we developed a new two-story classroom.
