Lafayette Elementary School Modernization, Lafayette

Our work at Lafayette Elementary School included new kindergarten classrooms & playground, the modernization of existing buildings, and new parking and drop-off. The school underwent a significant modernization and improvement, thanks to Lafayette School District’s Measure C bond initiative, and also due to the acquisition of the old library site on Moraga Road and Moraga Boulevard that allowed the District to rethink the use of the site and access for its students and parents. Two new modular buildings were added to the campus as part of the project. One of the buildings was utilized for two new Kindergarten classrooms to replace existing portables, and the second included a Transitional Kindergarten classroom and two additional classrooms. As part of the redesign, new play structures were added that were bordered by the new buildings and provide a safe and comfort-able place for the school’s youngest students.
