The new infill classroom building at Foothill High School includes nine specialized spaces programmed for Career Technical Education (CTE), including engineering, biomedical sciences, earth sciences, computer science, and Special Day Classes.
The ground floor engineering classrooms feature roll-up doors that successfully serve multiple purposes, including increasing airflow and daylight for occupant wellness; adding flexibility for physical learning space; and actively engaging students by providing views into the classrooms, encouraging curiosity, and attracting students to join the CTE program.
Completed as a second phase and located in the adjacent courtyard is an additional maker space workshop building with space that provides ample space for hands-on learning and experiments.
