The infill classroom building at Foothill High School is designed to support Career Technical Education (CTE) with nine specialized spaces, including engineering, biomedical sciences, earth sciences, computer science, and Special Day Classes.
The ground floor engineering classrooms feature roll-up doors that successfully serve multiple purposes, including increasing airflow and daylight for occupant wellness, adding flexibility for physical learning space, and actively engaging students by providing views into the classrooms, encouraging curiosity, and attracting students to join the CTE program.
The project’s second phase introduces additional maker spaces, a workshop, and offices, providing more hands-on, experiential learning opportunities.
