This new 12,000 SF two-story science center is the result of the Measure J Bond Program. HKIT worked with Project Frog to meet the campuses unique site requirements through the implementation of the district’s first two-story modular building. The school’s goal was to consolidate the hard science programs, like biology and chemistry, into a state-of-the-art new lab facility while renovating the remaining classrooms. The new, high-performance building invigorated this back edge of the campus. The 1,440 SF lab layouts and adjacent prep rooms were co-developed with El Camino’s science teachers and will serve as the prototype for future science facilities across several campuses.
Location: South San Francisco, CA
Total Gross Building
Area:
