Monarch Homes

Oakland, CA

This project transforms a former church site into a modern, five-story building providing 51 units of affordable senior housing. Within the community, 13 units are specifically allocated for low-income seniors facing the risk of homelessness, while an additional 13 units are dedicated to low-income senior veterans.

The ground floor is designed for accessibility and convenience, with resident amenities, including parking facilities, a welcoming entry lobby, office spaces, a communal room, and landscaped open space for group activities. The building’s exterior showcases a harmonious blend of materials, including cast concrete, sleek metal panels, durable fiber cement, aluminum, and glass.
