San Ramon Valley Unified School District Facilities Master Plan
Danville, CA
Major campus assessment work informed the modernization needs for aging school sites
In 2012, the San Ramon Valley Unified School District passed Measure D, a $260 million local school bond dedicated to funding a variety of campus improvements. There was close collaboration with the District to assess modernization needs on ten campuses in alignment with District-wide Master Plan objectives. The assessment process involved the evaluation of each site’s and classroom’s limitations, alongside identifying infrastructure and code compliance issues in older schools. Careful cost estimation and prioritization with site information and community input was conducted to achieve parity among all sites.
As a result of the Bond Master Plan and the assessment work, there were major infill projects at two campuses and modernization work on three elementary school campuses.
